Karen Faith Gordon, Teacher

Karen Faith Gordon

Karen Faith Gordon began facilitating groups early on in her social work career. The rewards of conversation proved mutually beneficial as both she and group participants learned and laughed together. Karen believes our common humanity becomes undeniable when we open ourselves to sharing with others and learning from each other.

What to expect…

This session invites participants to see how emotions store themselves in our bodies. Grief, trauma, joy, sorrow, and love all find ways of showing up physically, especially when not expressed verbally.

Join Karen Faith Gordon, LMSW, for a discussion of this topic, as well as remedies for healing. Principles of Grief Therapy and Mindful Self-Compassion will be used as guideposts for safe exploration of feelings. Participants will learn tools to support healthy processing of loss, and self-regulation techniques to increase capacity for resilience.

This gathering will begin and conclude with breathing exercises intended to center mind and body for optimum calm and clarity.
